Forget those little gummy worms you used to get in a pick-and-mix. This is the gummy python, a seven foot long 36,000 calorie monster which is more sweet than you would ever want to eat.

The candy snake is surprisingly detailed and includes intricate eyes, extensive and blended coloring, ridged coils, and thousands of individually carved scales.

But maybe more importantly it is freakishly huge! Weighing in a at 12.2 kilograms (27 pounds) it’s almost 8ft long and those 36,720 calories are 18.36 days of an adult’s recommended daily allowance.

Retailers Vat19.com suggest the Party Python could be divided into 306 servings of 40 grams and 120 calories each. It’s equivalent to 1,109 regular-sized gummy worms.

When a man pulled up at a petrol station in Texas and offered Jalonta Freeman a new $800 iPad for just $200, she should have know it was too good to be true.

Instead she thought it was too good to pass up and handed over the cash … it was only later she discovered the iPad was actually a mirror wrapped up to look like an Apple iPad.

iRock rocking chair charges your iPad or iPhone

A design firm has created a bizarre power-generating rocking chair which can be used to charge an iPad as you rock.

Makers MICASA LAB from Zurich claim that regular rocking in the iRock chair can keep an Apple iPad topped up.

Featuring an iPad docking stand on one arm and speakers in the back rest, the chair works thanks to a set of gears and generator on the base that transforms the movement into power.

“If you use iRock for 60 minutes you can recharge an iPad 3 to 35%,” said a spokesperson. “The iRock is an updated version of the traditional rocking chair. It’s a self sufficient iPad dock and sound station.”

The iRock is handcrafted out of Swedish pine wood and comes in 5 different colour options, it sells for $1300.

Helicopter pilot rescues toy plane from tree

This helicopter pilot is our new hero, after spotting a toy plane stranded in a tree, he rescued it and returned it to the boy who had crashed it.

Despite being busy flying a Robinson R-22 helicopter, the pilot saw the lad flying a scaled-down P51 Mustang, and then crashing it into a tree.

He quickly sprang into action and swooped down, hovered over the tree and got his co-pilot to lean out an grab the wing of the plane.

Once they’d retrieved the toy, they landed outside the house and returned it to the boy.

UK government spends £10,000 on dead snake

The UK Foreign Office has spent £10,000 to have a giant 120-year-old dead snake re-stuffed.

Measuring 20ft long and known as “Albert” the snake – which hangs in a Foreign Office library – is said to be regarded as a departmental asset.

The odd spending was revealed after a Freedom of Information (FOI) request from political blog Guido Fawkes.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office reportedly said of the spending: “It is quite a bit of money, but he is a very big snake.”

Back To The Future baby Halloween costume

Chances are that you saw some good Halloween costumes this year, but did you see any as good as this baby who was dressed as Marty McFly from Back to the Future? Didn’t think so.

Explaining the Cooper’s costume online, mother Cory Newton-Smith said: “It all started with a red puffy vest Cooper already had and a side comment from my husband about Marty McFly in late September.

“I’ve always loved Back to the Future, and love cars since I was little and grew up going to car shows with my Dad; what better way to tote my 1 year old son around on Halloween than in a transformed $25 Step2 push car.

“So, I spent a few weekends and nights in October recreating the iconic DeLorean with cardboard, tape, paint, and a little help with some EL lighting from my husband, Jeremy. The perfect costume for Cooper’s first Halloween!”
